I decided to write a book after the birth of my fourth child because honestly, I didn’t know what to do with myself. I had worked so hard towards my VBA3C. It seemed weird, even with four kids to not have something to work on and prepare, besides normal life. My heart was overwhelmed with God’s goodness and love for me and I knew I wanted to share more of not just my story, but I really believe this is all about Him.

A doula is a support person that understands the physiology and the emotional needs of a woman in labor, assists her and her partner in developing their birth preferences, stays with the woman during labor, works with the couple to enhance the partner’s comfort and involvement in labor, provides emotional support, physical support measure suggestions for labor progress, provides objective informational support and options for the woman so she can make informed decisions in the event of unforseen developments, facilitates communication with care providers as needed, and recognizes birth is a natural and key life experience that the mother will remember all her life.

Birth Doula Services

A doula not only helps you plan your preferences for your labor and birth, but discusses options and encourages a support plan for pregnancy and postpartum periods as well. Your doula works for you, not your caregiver or the hospital.

Providing information and education for those who are not labor clients, but need assistance in preparing for labor, and also for newer doulas wanting mentorship.
